14 Stories is a narrative podcast about real people and the extraordinary stories that shaped them. Each episode, we’ll open a fresh chapter in the story unfolding around us every day, from personal tales of triumph to headlines that divided a nation.

What’s behind the name?
The name “14 Stories” was inspired by the fourteen stories (meaning floors) of the London College of Communication, where we first bounced around the ideas that would become this very podcast. LCC is where we started, and we thought it was only appropriate to reflect that in our name.

Our mission
Is to make your world wider through storytelling that immerses you in another life. We want to show you the world as someone else experiences it and—for better or worse—what that world feels like.
Why use stories to do this?
Stories are how we build empathy; they’re how we learn about each other and develop an understanding of reality outside of our immediate circle.
They can break down social barriers and bring people closer together; they can teach life-saving lessons and help people make a genuine difference long after their deaths. In short, stories are how we connect with other people, and they’re how we can learn to become better.
So, pick an episode and take a trip to another place, another time. Whether you laugh, cry or gasp in surprise, we think you’ll come out the other side just a little bit better off.
